The Iver Make-up Academy, which is based at the world-famous Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, is thrilled to announce the addition of a brand-new course to its offering. The new course is open for registrations, with the next available opportunities for students to join coming in January 2022 and April 2022.
The new addition to the curriculum is called Fashion and Beauty Make-up and Hair Artistry is a six-week module which develops key skills in make-up and hairstyling with a comprehensive course in fashion and beauty make-up. This course is brought to students by The Iver Academy’s industry experts who have years of experience working in editorial and catwalk, including international Fashion Weeks, so they will be introducing students to all the latest products and techniques used in today’s industry.
The fashion and beauty industry is constantly developing, and our tutors are extremely passionate about their industry. Students will learn from their endless knowledge and years of experience. The course includes practical insights on how to work with every skin tone and hair texture, all aspects of make-up for media presenters, including understanding studio lighting and working with an HD camera. You will learn to create flawless complexions, editorial and catwalk looks, the perfect ‘Smokey Eye’, the perfect lip, male grooming, and a variety of session hairstyling techniques. The course culminates in a two-day photo shoot with models and a professional photographer creating high-res portfolio images.
The Iver Make-up Academy prides itself on the graduates we produce and the work that they go on to, which has included countless fashion and media projects including magazine shoots, fashion shows and live television productions. The Academy is also the only one of its type to be accredited by ScreenSkills - the industry-led body for screen industries - and whose students have received multiple BAFTA Scholarships for Advanced Certificate Courses, which offers bursaries of up to £10,000.

No formal qualifications are required but prospective students must be over 18 and they will need to pass an interview. The course costs £5,150 inc. VAT and a 20% deposit is required to secure a place, with a balance due six weeks prior to the course start date. We have several options to help fund your make-up course including interest-free payments, bursaries and loans.
