A Bafta and multi award-winning make-up and hair designer, Chrissie Baker has over 30 years’ experience in the film, TV, fashion & music industry.
She has worked on a huge array of productions, from hair and make-up design on British hit film Calendar Girls to editorial features and front covers, including Harpers Bazaar and Style magazine. A highly talented and creative artist, Chrissie won a Bafta award in 2010 for her work on Mo, the TV movie.
Her professionalism and skill has led her to act as a personal make-up and hair artist to actress Julie Walters on multiple productions, including the recent Channel 4 TV series Indian Summers. As well as film and TV media roles, Chrissie has a wealth of experience in fashion and editorial make-up, working on many high profile shoots and shows. Her credits include the WWF Pandamonium show that took place in 2012 at Hyde Park, and Top Model.
Alongside her professional freelance work, Chrissie taught at London make-up school Greasepaint for several years before becoming part of the teaching team at The Iver Academy. She now shares her insider knowledge with students to teach film, TV, fashion and editorial make-up and hairdressing on our courses.
