Rob Whitehead

ROB WHITEHEAD

Rob has over 20 years’ experience working in the medical industry as a clinical maxillo-facial prosthetist, lifecaster and camouflage make-up artist, and is well-known within his highly specialised field.

His experience spans all aspects of mould making and materials, and also covers the technical side of prosthetic application. Rob is also a trusted member of the Institute of Maxillo-facial Prosthetist and Technologists, the General Dental Council and the British Association of Skin Camouflage.

As well as an industry freelancer and one of our regular specialist tutors, Rob also runs his own specialist prosthetics business which provides medical grade prosthetics, as well as those used for film and television. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to creating realistic prosthetics, having worked extensively within the NHS to make bespoke commissions for patients.

An experienced prosthetics tutor, Rob lectured & taught at several make-up schools, including Greasepaint, before joining The Iver Academy as a resident Tutor. He now passes on his knowledge and experience to students of our specialist prosthetics courses, giving invaluable advice and training on the newest industry techniques and practices.
